Welcome tour: on your very first visit a small window on the right shows you the menu, the shop (everything there is optional) and the rules in three short steps. "Skip" or "Done" closes it for good. You can start the detailed menu tour any time under "Options" in the menu.
Returning player bonus: if you haven't been online for at least 14 days, you get a small starter pack in your inventory once per wipe when you come back (1000× Wood, 1000× Stones, 250× Metal Fragments, 5× Bandage).
Wipe reminder: before a scheduled wipe you get a chat announcement (1 day, 1 hour, 10 minutes before), from 1 h before also as a banner at the top centre. For a server restart you also see the countdown in chat and as a banner – your stuff of course stays after a restart.
Ping hint: if your ping stays above 180 ms for more than 2 min, you get a friendly hint with tips once per connection – the lag is then usually caused by the connection, not the server. Nobody gets kicked for this.
