Arrange HUD: /hud (or menu → Options → "Arrange HUD") opens the grid editor. The screen is split into a grid (12 × 8 cells by default) and every server display is a coloured block: notices in the top left, buff HUD, raid display, newbie protection, kill feed, active events (with the map open), event displays, mission HUD, target HUD, loot popup, starter task, inventory quick access and more.
The easiest way is to drag a block with the mouse to where you want it (drag & drop) – the position is saved when you let go. Alternatively click a block to select it (or flip through with ‹ ›), then click a cell to put its top-left corner there. The arrows fine-tune in small steps or whole cells. "Default (this one)" and "Restore defaults (all)" reset, "Move this bar" moves the control bar out of the way. The layout is saved just for you. The bar also holds the grid options: "Grid: ON/OFF" shows or hides the lines, "Snap: ON/OFF" makes a dragged block snap to the nearest grid line (off = pixel-precise), "Grid size" switches between 8, 12, 16 and 24 columns. The server remembers these settings for you. A display shows up at its new spot as soon as it is redrawn (usually right away).
HUD list in the editor: a list at the screen edge shows every server display with its colour. Clicking a name is the quick access: the block is selected, highlighted and brought to the front – the arrows and "Default (this one)" then act on it. The "shown/hidden" switch hides a block only in the editor so you can reach blocks underneath; in game every display stays visible. "Show all" brings everything back, "Only selected" shows just the selected block. ‹ › moves the list to the other side of the screen, "–" folds it away. The selected block always lies on top. The server remembers these settings too.
Grey blocks are Rust's own displays (hotbar, health/hunger/thirst, compass, chat). They are set by Rust and cannot be moved – better not put your displays on top of them, you get a notice if you do.
Notice history: /notices (or /hinweise) or the "Notices" button at the top of the menu lists every notice of the last 30 minutes – personal and global – with time and colour: blue = info, green = success, red = warning; filter by "Personal" or "Global" at the top.
Tab info: the "i Tab info" button at the top of the menu briefly explains the open tab and leads to the matching article with "More in the help wiki".
